About Garry Gribble’s Running Sports

Welcome to Garry Gribble’s Running Sports, where every athlete is treated as an individual and every individual is treated as an athlete. We have four convenient locations to serve you: at 11908 West 119th Street in Overland Park, KS (119th and Quivira in the Stoll Park Center); and at 8600 Ward Parkway in Kansas City, MO (87th and State Line in the Ward Parkway Mall). Our Independence store is in Independence Commons on 39th Street across from the mall, and our newest store is in Lawrence at 839 Massachusetts Street.  Our goal is to provide the best in service, advice and products to runners and walkers at all levels.

Finding the right running and walking gear should be a comfortable experience. At Garry Gribble’s Running Sports, customers receive the respect and attention they deserve. From the beginning walker or runner to the experienced racer, all of our customers will find the knowledge and expert advice they need.

We train all of our employees to properly fit the best shoe for people of all backgrounds, body types, and experience levels. We carry unusual sizes and widths and try to have a shoe for everyone. If we do not have it in stock we will get it for you.

Respected Brand Names — Garry Gribble’s Running Sports carries shoes from Adidas, Asics, Brooks, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike, and Saucony. We have a full list of our vendors, with links to their websites.

Wide Variety of Shoe Sizes and Widths — We have a large inventory of shoes and will special order for items we stock and may be able to order non-stock items as well.

• We have 26 styles of women’s size 11 or larger. Several women’s styles are stocked in sizes 5 to 12. Widths in some women’s styles range from: 2A (narrow), B (regular), D (wide), and 2E (extra wide). We stock up to a size 12 2A in several styles.
• In most brands and styles GGRS carries up to men’s size 14.  Several men’s styles are stocked in sizes 6 to 16, or higher, in certain go-to styles.  Widths in several styles range from: B (narrow), D (regular), 2E (wide), and 4E (extra wide).

Hard-to-Find Items – Garry Gribble’s Running Sports also carries the “little stuff” you may need but cannot find in most stores.  Items such as: spike wrenches; spike elements; reflective accessories; windbriefs for both men and women; shoelaces in both regular and speed lace-type; shoe inserts and footbeds; antifriction lubricant; race number belts; hydration equipment; running logs; pedometers.  If you need something we don’t have, we’ll try to get it for you, or help you find it. Since we don’t stock all items all the time (some are seasonal), you are welcome to call or e-mail us to check.
